Exposed- Art & Culture in England's North West
6th June, Manchester Square, London
Curated by Stephen Snoddy
Exposed is an art exhibition highlighting the artistic and cultural strength of England’s Northwest.
The exhibition will showcase pieces of work from 10 chosen artists, each with a connection to the Northwest, including new works by Turner Prize winners Chris Ofili and Keith Tyson, contemporary pieces by Kevin Cummins and Peter Saville, sculpture by Leo Fitzmaurice and paintings by The Singh Twins, also photographs by Neville Gabie along with emerging new talent from the region Richard Meaghan, Rachel Goodyear and Ian Rawlinson.
Home to Manchester International Festival – the world’s first international festival of original new work – and the Liverpool Biennial – the UK’s largest contemporary visual arts festival, along with Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008, the Northwest is one of the most culturally dynamic regions in Europe. Exposed will be your chance to see just why the region is home to some of Europe’s most original artists, vibrant venues, festivals and events.
